UK hearing aid repairs and cleaning in Nerja
Living in Spain with hearing aids you bought back in the UK? You don't need to wait for your next trip home. A hearing aid works all day in your ear: wax, moisture, sun cream, sand from the beach… Over time it gets clogged, whistles, sounds weak or stops working. Very often it isn't broken at all: it just needs a proper clean and check-up.
What we do
- Thorough cleaning of the hearing aid, tubing, mould or dome.
- Full check-up to make sure it sounds as it should.
- Fault diagnosis: if something's wrong, we check it here, tell you what the problem is and what your options are, with a clear price before we do anything.
- Adjustments if you feel you're not hearing as well as you used to.
Any brand, bought anywhere, including the UK
It doesn't matter where you bought your hearing aid: at another shop, in another town or in another country, such as the UK (high street or NHS). We'll check it and help you. We'll just be honest about one thing: if a part or accessory isn't sold here in Spain, we may not be able to get it.
We mainly work with Phonak, Signia and Resound.
What we don't do
We don't do ear wax removal. In Spain that's a medical procedure and must be done by your GP (médico de cabecera) or an ENT doctor. What we do is clean your hearing aid so wax doesn't damage it.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk in Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 13:30. If you'd rather be sure you won't have to wait, call us on 951 38 44 54. We speak English.
Coming from nearby towns
You'll find us at Calle Pintada 58, in the centre of Nerja. People bring us their hearing aids from Maro, Frigiliana, Torrox, Almuñécar and Torre del Mar. If you're coming from further away, call ahead and we'll tell you the best time so you don't have to wait.
